Return of Instruments

Students who are hiring school musical instruments need to return them to their teacher after completing their Cycle 6 assessment. All instruments need to be checked over by music staff for maintenance and stocktaking.

It may be possible to borrow an instrument for the school holidays, but this is on a case-by-case basis after the return and assessment of the instrument.

Students are strongly encouraged to purchase their own instrument after their first year of learning, as preference for school hire instruments goes to new Year 7 students. Perhaps consider a new instrument as a present!

Jazz Night

This year’s Jazz Night will be held in The John Landy Centre on Wednesday 19 November.

Families and friends are welcome to BYO dinner and non-alcoholic drinks while enjoying performances from the Stage Band and various small group items. Tickets (free) now available from: https://www.trybooking.com/CNJZO.

NEVR String Workshop

Some of our string players are participating in the annual North Eastern Victoria Region String Workshop in Week 10 at Blackburn High School. Parents will need to ensure that they provide consent for this activity on Compass, and students need to go directly to Blackburn High on each day of the workshop.
