PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

MS MICHELLE HAEUSLER - PRINCIPAL

It is that time of year when I begin preparing for Christmas, but I am not really ready. The year is coming to an end, and I would like a few more days to get everything done. The staff have been amazing over the past few weeks with exams, orientation programs and subject interviews and these last few days with our Year 7 and 8 students will be full of fun as we complete the year with Activity Days.

We welcomed our 2024 Year 7 students today as they completed their Orientation day. We have an energetic group of students joining us in 2024 and I can’t wait to journey with them through the next six years.

Our Annual Presentation Night will be held on Monday 11th December from 7:00pm. Students are notified if they are expected to attend, however, everyone in our community is most welcome to join us in celebrating the wonderful achievements of our students.

Our senior students will receive the results of their hard work this year when the VCAA releases the 2023 results on Monday. Our Year 12 students will also receive their ATAR on this day. Our prayers are with all students waiting on the results. May their efforts be rewarded. Any students who would like to meet with a member of the Pathways Team after receipt of their results are most welcome to make contact with the school and arrange a time.

I would like to make a note once again of the staff that will be leaving us at the end of this school year. Whether it be retirement, study or new opportunities, I wish the following staff health and happiness as they move on from our community:

Jim Hogan
Mark Leary
Sheelagh Leary
Kim Mai
Karen Teal
Gerry Vytilingam

I also wish Lori Rogers well as she awaits the impending birth of her third child in February.

A number of our families conclude their journey with us at the end of this year. Thank you for being a part of our community. Thanks also to the many families that will still be with us next year, for your ongoing support.

Wishing everyone in our community a joyous Christmas and a happy and safe New Year.
