YEAR 8 ART & DESIGN

This term students experimented with colour, contrast, shape, and point.

They studied Roy Lichtenstein to create comic reproductions in the style of Pop Art. Students also looked at the visual language of American artist Keith Haring and created awareness of social issues that were important to them through art. Students also had fun creating a cover page for their 2D Folios, exploring 101 ways to draw an object, and creating self-portraits using type. Here are some selected folio pages.
