School Sport Australia National Golf Champion

Earlier this month, Year 5 student Ricky M represented Victoria in the School Sport Australia National Golf Championships in Perth. This is the second year in a row that Ricky has qualified for the Under 12 boys Victorian team which takes the best 8 golfers in the state to compete at the national championships. At assembly last week, Ricky let us know that his best round at the championships was a score of 82 and that the boys team ended up winning gold! Ricky also let us know that he spends about 8-10 hours a week training for his chosen sport – what amazing dedication! Congratulations on a great carnival, Ricky, you have done your family, your school and your state proud!
