Celebration Service

We are looking forward to gathering together for our Celebration Service tonight, Wednesday 6th December at 6:30pm.

We are now at capacity for tonight's Celebration Service.  For any families hoping for extra tickets, you are welcome to wait in the foyer until the Service commences and we will check to see if we have extra seats available from 6.35pm (please note we are restricted on how many people can be in the paranaple centre so we cannot promise there will be seats available).

Some important reminders:

All students are required to wear full formal summer uniform:

• Jumpers and jackets are not required for primary students. 
• Blazers are to be worn for secondary students (if they have one). 
• Please ensure shoes are all black (no white markings or soles, and socks are plain with no writing on the band).

Our evening will begin from 5pm in Market Square with the opportunity for families to gather together for a BYO picnic dinner before heading upstairs.

Doors to the paranaple Centre will open at 6pm with all students needing to be seated by 6.20pm.

Students in Kinder-Year 2 will be seated in the Aberdeen Room on Level 2 and can be dropped off at the Aberdeen Room and collected from there at the end of service.

Year 3-7 students will be seated in the auditorium with their teachers.

Monday 11th December Splash Celebration Day-Parent Volunteers Required

Year 1 to 6 students will be walking to Splash Aquatic Centre for water activities, swim carnival fun and a picnic.  Parents are welcome to join us for the day. Please see Schoolbox for further information and to complete the consent form.

We are still needing parent volunteers to assist on the day at Splash.  If you are available and have completed our ‘Working With Our DCS Children’ course this year and have a valid WWVP card, please contact the school office.

Friday 15th December: 12.00pm-4.00pm

Monday 18th December 2023 - Friday 12th January 2024 - CLOSED

School office will re-open on Monday 15th January 2024

School holiday office hours will be 8.30am-3.30pm Monday-Friday.

Position Vacant - Facilities Team Member

We have a position available for a Facilities Team Member to join our amazing Facilities Team in 2024! The position is for up to three days per week, helping to maintain our facilities and keeping our grounds looking amazing! 

The review of applications will begin as soon as they are received and DCS reserves the right to close the selection process at any time if the right candidate is found.

This is a friendly reminder to families paying school fees by direct debit that the final direct debit for 2023 will be on Thursday 28th December.

The first direct debit payment for 2024 school fees will commence on Thursday 11th January 2024.

Sibling Enrolments 

Over the past 12 months we have experienced a large increase in enrolment enquiries, with enquiries coming through for Kinder right through to 2028!

If you are a current DCS family, and you have a younger sibling who will be commencing in 2025, 2026, 2027 or 2028, can we encourage you to jump on to our website and complete the 'Enquire today' section as soon as possible to add your child's name to our Application Register.

DCS School Farm Christmas Cards

Miss Shurley is once again selling Christmas cards featuring our DCS School animals.  All monies raised will go towards the cost of  the school farm. 

Prices are $4 each or 4 for $15.

There are five different designs to choose from, don't they look amazing?!

To purchase, simply complete an order form, which are available at the school office.

Cards are selling fast, so make sure to return your orders as soon as possible!

Basketball Tops

With the 2023 Spring basketball rosters coming to an end, please return all basketball tops to the school office as soon as possible.

Early Learning

At DCS we offer two fun and friendly Early Learning programmes.  Come along and connect with others over a delicious hot drink while your children play.  Please call the school office on 6423 1373 if you require further information.

Little Sprouts

Little Sprouts is a hands-on nature-based playgroup for children aged 3 and 4 years and is held every Thursday from 8:45am - 10:30am. Our final Little Sprouts for 2023 will be held tomorrow, Thursday 7th December.

Jiloa Juniors

Jiloa Juniors is held every Friday from 8:45am - 10:45am and is for children from birth to 5 years with their carers. Our final Jiloa Juniors for 2023 will be held this Friday 8th December.
