Grade 1 - 6 

Phew! What a fun few weeks we have had performing different experiments! What’s that we hear? The sound of bells ringing? Hooves tapping on a roof? Christmas is coming! We will spend some time over the next two weeks making Christmassy things. If we work quickly, your child will be able to bring home a hand-made decoration.  

Visual Arts

Prep

No Art for Preps this week because of the alternative timetable to allow for teacher planning.

Grade 1 and 2

Students will be adding black painted outlines to their nutcrackers and creating a water colour background complete with snowflakes. 

Grade 3 and 4

Students will be finishing off their Santa drawing, painting neon colours on the shades and hat of their very cool looking Santa.

Grade 5 

Last week, Grade 5’s didn’t have Art because of Friendship day so this week they will add any finishing touches to their Picasso masks, including a layer of pattern and attaching accessories with wire. 

Grade 6

Students will be making a radial designed Christmas ornament using tin paper. They will emboss their design and then use sharpies to add colour.
