French

Salut!

In the French classroom, Foundation students are learning French nursery rhymes. One is called "Petit Escargot" and the other "L'araignée Gypsy". Have a look at the pictures below can you guess which animal each one is about?

Grade 1 and 2 are working on colours. They listened to "Frère Jacques" and then a song with the same tune called "Les couleurs".

They  also learned that Frère Jacques is a popoular song and that a long time ago someone had to pull a rope to ring the church bells.

Grade 3 and 4 have created a poster of their own about the famous French designer Christian Dior. Below are some excellent examples of their "créativité"!

Grade 5 and 6 have completed their day schedules in French, using French time phrases, days of the week and daily actions. They are now embarking on a numerical journey...did you know that in French you don't say eighty but "four times twenty"?

Au revoir,

Madame Higgins
