Art and Design Exhibition opening

It was amazing to see the talent on show at our recent Art and Design Exhibition. The sheer number of students who had pieces on display or participated in the event was a testament to all involved. You can find the full list of works that were successful in winning an award in Latest News section of this newsletter. Congratulations to the Visual Arts and Design staff on a successful opening event. We thank them for their hard work, and the dedication and support they have shown to the students throughout the year.

Exams

As you would be aware, we are in the middle of the exam period with the Year 11 and 12 students finishing their final exams last Friday and the Year 10 students sitting their exams this week. All students should be commended for their focus and consistent commitment to their studies. The College wishes them every success with their results.

Pictured below: Year 11-12 students with Secondary Teacher, Claire Raward are all smiles after finishing their English 3 exam. Well done!

Year 7 retreats

Last week our Year 7 classes embarked on their annual retreat to the Lindisfarne Rowing Club. The retreat is a great opportunity for our students to take time and reflect on the year that was and look forward to what lies ahead in the coming years. A big thank you to all of the staff who facilitated the days.

Presentation Day

On Tuesday this week we celebrated Presentation Day with a Liturgy and assembly. The highlight was the attendance of eight of the nine Presentation Sisters who live in Tasmania. The day is a chance to give thanks to Nano Nagle and the effort she made to establish the Presentation Order 248 years ago. It is fantastic to think that one decision from this dedicated woman has turned into a worldwide education opportunity for so many people.
