Year 8 Camp

Year 8 students went to Phillip Island for a 3 day camp in November. When we arrived, we were welcomed by kind faces and nice staff. The grounds were very spacious with many activities to do in our free time such as playing gaga ball, table tennis, “Ed’s Alley”, human foosball, and many more.

Over the 3 days we completed 8 activities ranging from a giant swing (18m high), to making a raft out of pipes, wood planks, and string. We challenged ourselves to do new things like archery, canoeing, zip-lining and high-ropes courses. A highlight of the camp was the penguin parade. We were sitting on steps by the beach watching the penguins emerge from the water going into their nests. On the way home, we went to the chocolate factory and played arcade games to redeem chocolate balls. Overall, we worked together as a team, made new friends and ate yummy food.

Thanks to Mr Bandara and Ms Lawson for organising our camp, and all the teachers for a great three days: Mr Lake, Ms Owen, Mr Lou, Mr Zuccala, Mr Pham, West, Ms Li, Kurashige Sensei, Mr Bales, Madame Loveena, Mr Osi, and Ms Gaylard.
