Captains Corner

Hello families and my fellow students,

I trust this message finds you well. Today, I am delighted to provide you with updates on our recent activities and a glimpse of what lies ahead in the remaining weeks of the term.

To commence, the Year Twos embarked on an educational excursion to Science Works, immersing themselves in hands-on experiences to comprehend various forces they had studied in class. I hope they all had a wonderful hands-on experience at their time in science works.

Turning our attention to our Year Six students, they have been diligently participating in three distinct round-robin events. Firstly, the Netball round robin showcased the boys' determination, even though they did not win. Nevertheless, they thoroughly enjoyed their experience.

Following this, our Year Six cohort engaged in the Summer Sport round robin, partaking in various sports . Although the Danish rounders team narrowly missed advancing to the finals, their efforts were commendable.

In addition, congratulations to our students who took part at the Cricket Gala Day, with one of the boys' teams securing first place by triumphing in all their matches. A big thank you to Mr. Parker and Ms. Lawlor for their dedicated organisation of both the cricket and netball round-robin games.

Looking ahead, we have several exciting events on the horizon:

  1. The Year 6 Interrelate Program
  2. The Girls Chess National Championship in South Australia this December - Best of luck to our participants!
  3. The Year 6 Graduation
  4. Anticipated results of the Maths Olympiad test for Year 5 & 6

Wishing you all an enjoyable time ahead.

Warm regards, Vivaan (6C)
