3B

As we entered week 8 of the term, the Level 3 students have been actively preparing their Term Inquiry projects for the upcoming Natural Disaster Expo in a few weeks. The students in Level 3 have been exploring the central question, "How might people react differently to a natural disaster?" To kick off their inquiry, they delved into a variety of Jackie French narratives, each focusing on one of the four disasters that will be the focus of their projects. Empowered by students' voices, they decided on specific questions to investigate regarding their chosen disasters and eagerly began their projects. The students are enthusiastic about this unit, relishing the opportunity to work independently on a disaster they are passionate about and embracing the use of technology to discover new and exciting facts.

They shared what they have enjoyed so far:

Anya – I have loved that we have learnt about different disasters, we get to collaborate and we get to do a poster to present.

Mehtab – I have liked learning about the different natural disasters and how each one forms

Gabby – I like that we got to read the disaster books at the start of the term and got to see real pictures of those disasters.
