Principal's Message - Term 3 Highlights & What's Ahead

Dear Kurunjang Secondary College Community,

Term 3 is well underway, and it's been an exciting and energising start to the second half of the year.

I'm thrilled to share that our much-anticipated $10.7 million building upgrade is progressing as planned, with construction most likely to set to begin in Term 4. This project marks a significant milestone in our school's transformation, and we are looking forward to the new facilities that will support modern, high-quality learning environments for our students and staff.

Over the past two weeks, our Year 9 and Year 10 students attended Rubicon Outdoor School, immersing themselves in a range of adventurous activities including hiking, cross-country skiing, and rock wall climbing. While the weather was cold, spirits were high! The camps provided a valuable opportunity for students to step outside their comfort zones, connect with one another, and develop their confidence and resilience. A heartfelt thank you to the staff who supported both camps and made these experiences possible.

Looking ahead, Year 10 course counselling begins in Week 4, as students prepare for their transition into Year 11. This is a crucial time for students and families to explore the most appropriate educational pathways that align with individual strengths, interest and future aspirations. Whether students are considering VCE, VCE VM or vocational training, making informed choices now lays the foundation for future success.

As always, I'm proud of the strong sense of community and purpose that defines Kurunjang. Thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to grow and evolve together.

Warm regards,

Aylin Gökmen
