Grade 1/2 Library Fun & Book Week 📚✨
The Grade 1/2s have been loving their library sessions this term! They enjoy having dedicated time to read, browse, and discover all the wonderful books our school library has to offer. Each week, students look forward to choosing new books to take home, sharing recommendations with friends, and exploring different genres and authors.
These sessions also give students the chance to practise their reading skills, develop a love of literature, and spark their imaginations. Whether it’s diving into an exciting adventure, laughing along with a funny story, or learning new facts from non-fiction books, our young readers are making the most of their library time.
Library reminder: Please remember to send your child with their library bag on their library day. Each student is able to borrow two books at a time to enjoy at home.
Book Week is coming up!
In Week 6, on Tuesday 26th August, we will celebrate Book Week with our much-loved Dress Up Day. Students are invited to come dressed as a character from their favourite book. We’ll be holding a whole-school parade, giving everyone the chance to admire each other’s creative and colourful costumes.
Now is the perfect time to start thinking about which book character your child would like to dress up as!
