Feel the Force!

This term, our 3/4 students are diving into the exciting world of science in our integrated unit: Science Matters! We are exploring the different types of forces that affect the world around us, including push, pull, magnetic forces and static electricity.

In Week 2, we investigated static electricity, using balloons to lift pieces of paper and cereal with nothing but a little friction and a whole lot of curiosity!

In Week 3, we turned our attention to magnetic forces, experimenting with magnets to create our very own compass!

Through hands-on experiments, students are building their understanding of how forces work in everyday life. It’s been a fun, hands-on start to the term, and we can’t wait to explore more of the science that matters!
