National Tree day was on July 27th and to celebrate students considered all the things that we need trees for. Whilst every day can be tree day it’s nice to stop and reflect about how wonderful plants and trees are. Students enjoyed a leaf rubbing activity focussing on the details in leaves.

Years 5 & 6

Students made observations of some seeds that were trying to propagate under controlled conditions to determine the most ideal growing environment. Unfortunately not all seeds sprouted but it still provided learning opportunities regarding why they didn’t and why mould grew instead.

Students also helped with a massive kitchen clean and reset, ready for some class cooking creations this term.
