Principal's Message

Dear Families,
Knowledge Society
We are well and truly enjoying our learning journey with Knowledge Society. So far, we have introduced and are beginning to embed;
- Entry Routines
- Cue to Start
- Exit Routines
These routines are explicitly taught, used by all teachers in our school and are designed to create a calm, organised environment. The children have embraced these changes and understand the new expectations.
As a staff, we have also introduced the above following school rules. These rules sit beside our school wide expectations and help guide acceptable behaviour at our school. Moving into Term 3, if a child in our school breaks one of our rules, parents will receive an email communication from the classroom teacher, specialist teacher or leadership team member to state the rule what has been broken. As a school staff, we will apply an appropriate consequence within our environment but would appreciate the support at home by discussing the rules with your child at home, each time you receive a notification from us.
You will receive notifications from us in the case of;
- physical contact
- disrupting the learning environment
- not respecting staff
- not following instructions
We will not be sending a notification for every minor behaviour that occurs, it will be for our more serious incidents. We appreciate your support moving forward.
Parent/Teacher Interviews
Just a reminder, we have Parent/Teacher Interviews running for Grade F-5 over the next two nights. If you haven't made an appointment yet, it is not too late! Head to our online booking platform;
https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/code/sw8qq
We look forward to seeing everyone there!
STEM Display
All of Our Lady’s students will have their Term Two STEM projects on display Monday night and Tuesday night during parent teacher interviews. Our students have worked very hard and independently on their final products and we’d love for you to check them out when visiting your child’s classroom.
Auskick
Don't forget - AusKick has the final session at Our Lady's this afternoon! Please be on time to pick up your child at the end of the session (4.30pm). Please enter via the carpark gate.
2026 Enrolments
Foundation enrolments for 2026 have now opened - if you have a sibling attending Our Lady's in 2026, now is the time to act. If you would like to book a tour of the school with your child, please pop into the office to organise a time.
Now is also the time to promote our beautiful school within our community. Many thanks to the parents for sending tours our way! We would love to grow our community.
Advisory School Council
Our Lady's is seeking to re-establish our Advisory School Council. The Advisory Council serves as a consultative and advisory group for the Principal in order to inform and gain feedback from the broader school community. Members of the Advisory Council;
- actively support, in collaboration with the local parish, the Vison and Catholic Identity of our school
- provide parental and local community input into strategic planning, school improvement, child safeguarding practices and school review
- support the Principal in meeting their accountabilities for educational outcomes, effective stewardship of resources and annual reporting
- actively support the Principal in the encouragement of parent/carer engagement
- provide a means by which the CESL Executive (and thereby the CESL Board) can dialogue with and hear from school community members
Nominations are currently being invited from the community. Nominations (which can be self-nominations) should be in writing and delivered to myself directly. This can be done via email.
Blessings,
Cassie
