Principal's Message

Mrs Kaileen Carr

Thank you to all the parents who have been in this week to meet with teachers about their child's learning. We appreciate all you do to support us.

We have noticed that some students are being dropped off to school prior to 8:50am. If your child does not catch a bus to school, can you please ensure you drop your child after 8:50am.

All mobile phones, smart watches and iPads must be handed into the front office each day. Students sign these items in, and they are kept in individual cases until students pick them up at the end of the school day.

I have had some conversations with parents about these devices being in 'School Mode'. This mode still allows students to take photos. Since some of our students are not allowed to be photographed, we are ensuring all students remain safe at school. School mode also allows students to make emergency calls. What we would deem an emergency may not be what the child deems an emergency. Can I assure you, if your child is involved in an emergency at school, the school will notify you as soon as possible.

Also, these devices are safe in the office. It is important to note the school holds no responsibility if these devices are taken or damaged.

I will be on leave starting Monday 18 August until the beginning of Term 4. During this time Jodeen Jackson will be the relieving principal. If there is anything you wish to discuss with me prior to me going on leave, please contact the office to organise a time to see me.
