Parent Opinion Survey

The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

A random sample of approximately 30 per cent of parents / caregivers / guardians has been selected to participate in this year’s survey.

The survey will be open from Monday 18 August to Friday 19 September 2025. The families that were randomly selected will receive an email on Monday with instructions on how to complete the survey.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 10-20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the survey period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Please contact the office if you would like more information.

Father's and Special Friends' Day Breakfast & Gift

A Compass alert will be released soon regarding our upcoming Fathers’ and Special Friends’ Day Breakfast, which will be held on Friday 29th August. The alert will also include details about a special gift that students have been working on in Art.

Please note, our breakfast is being held a week earlier than usual to ensure all of our Prep students can attend, as they will be on excursion the following week.

Father’s Day gifts will still be sent home during the week leading up to the official Father’s Day date.

Prep Enrolments for 2026

Prep enrolments for 2026 closed recently. A large number of applications were received and parents have now been notified of the outcome of their application.

I look forward to continuing to work with many of our existing families, through the enrolment of younger siblings. I also look forward to working with many new families in 2026.

This year, Book Week will be celebrated from Monday 18th to Friday 22nd August, and the 2025 theme is Book an Adventure! Please check your child's classroom 'news' section of the newsletter for more details about how we will be celebrating Book Week.
