JAPANESE

Japanese Culture Club

In Term 3, we were excited to launch the lunchtime Japanese Culture Club, a new opportunity for students to explore and experience aspects of Japanese culture beyond the classroom.

For our first event, students across Years 7, 8, and 9 participated in a traditional calligraphy workshop. Using authentic brushes and ink, they learned how to write kanji characters, gaining an appreciation of both the artistic and cultural significance of this centuries-old practice.

The enthusiasm and creativity shown by our students made the launch a wonderful success, and we look forward to continuing the club with more activities such as origami, Japanese games, and cultural celebrations in the coming weeks.
