Assistant Principal's Report
Georgia Despotellis
As we reach the end of another term, a long and eventful one, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all parents and caregivers for taking the time to engage in meaningful conversations with their children about their academic progress. Your involvement in reviewing the recently published school reports, along with the thoughtful self-reflections provided by the students, plays a vital role in fostering a culture of growth, responsibility and continuous learning within our community.
I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to our staff for their unwavering dedication, the considerable time invested in preparing student reports and their collaborative efforts within teams and across the school. Their professionalism and commitment to maintaining high standards of reporting are truly commendable.
The wall outside my office is now bursting with colour, thanks to a wonderful display created by our talented Year 3 students. Guided by our Art teacher, Mrs Pappas, the students explored the Dreamtime story Tiddalick and brought it to life through their artwork. This traditional Aboriginal tale tells the story of a giant frog who drinks all the water, creating a crisis that other animals must solve by making him laugh. The students’ creative interpretations not only brighten our school environment but also offer a meaningful connection to Indigenous storytelling and culture. Well done to all involved!
Please see below a list of some wellbeing activities to try over the holidays with your child/ren:
We look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Monday 21st July.
I would like to wish all our students and families a lovely term break.
