From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,
As we head into the last week of a busy and very special term for me personally, there is still so much happening. I hope you can join me for a special paraliturgy and afternoon tea before school pick up on Thursday. I look forward to catching up with everyone over the coming days to thank you all personally, for the important part you have played in my time at St Bernard’s and my career. We also have some very important events coming up as we share your child’s learning journey with you.
Principal Appointment Process
The process of appointing the next Principal of our school continues. The actual process has a number of very important steps to ensure that best person to lead our community into the future is found. Once the successful candidate is appointed they will begin as soon as possible, however, given the requirements of senior leaders moving between schools, they may not be able to begin at the start of the term. The new Principal and their start date will be announced in due course but rest assured the school will be in great hands as Ms Franca and Mr Reed continue to lead with dedication and professionalism.
Report Feedback Session
Next Tuesday 1st July our Report Feedback sessions are being held from 1:30pm-6:30pm. Students finish at 1pm on this day. This is an opportunity for parents to meet with their child’s teachers (both classroom and specialist staff) to discuss information contained in the report which will be sent home on Thursday. Attendance is not compulsory.

Due to unavoidable personal commitments, Ms Tijana our P.E teacher will only be available from 4:30pm-6:30pm on Tuesday 1st July. Tijana will also be available on Wednesday 2nd July between 1pm-3.45pm, to meet with parents. If you wish to make an appointment with Tijana on Tuesday, you can do so through the normal booking system.

R.E PL day
This Friday 27th June is a PL Day there is no school for students, there is an RE focus for this PL. OHSC is available on this day bookings are essential.
School Disco
The school disco is next Thursday 3rd July, a reminder to return the permission forms and payment as soon as possible.
Thank you to those who have already volunteered, if you are available please see the BPC page to sign up for the set up or to help out on the night.
Change of Date - Walkathon
Please take note of the change of date for our biggest fundraiser of the year - the Walkathon. It was to be held on Friday 1st August but will now be on Friday 8th August. More details closer to the date.
End of Term 2
The term ends next Friday 4th July, students finish at 1.00pm on this day.
Term 3 commences on Monday 21st July.
Lunch Time Clubs - Extra Curricular opportunities
The Dance and Chess clubs have been very successful this term. They will be offered again in Term 3 and bookings can now be made through the QR codes on each of the flyers attached. The dance class will be Street Dance next term.
