We were so excited to welcome so many families to share in all our learning from Term 2. We were so proud of all the fantastic work our students completed and loved watching the students share and teach others about their chosen topic. The student voice and agency seen through our project topic and presentation selection was amazing! A huge thank you to all our parents and families who made the time to come and be a part of our learning. Your support, thoughtful questions and encouragement made our students feel very special!
In 3/4A we researched and created projects on themes related to Climate Change and Extreme Weather disasters. The students delivered their presentations to their peers as well as their amazing families who attended the Discovery Open Afternoon. We had a range of projects and presentation types, including dioramas, trifolds, Canva slideshows, tornado whirl bottles and many more! It was fantastic to see students engage in their Discovery unit by researching information and experimenting with new modes of presentation.
The students in 3/4C were very excited about sharing their projects with their families and friends on the Discovery Open Afternoon. They all worked hard on researching a topic of their choice that related to Climate Change and the resulting Extreme Weather. It was great to see such a variety of projects being presented in such a creative way on topics that were of interest to the students. Everyone did well sharing their learning and answering questions on the day too.
In 3/4E we were very excited to be able to share what we have learnt with our families. We had a large range of project questions and presentation styles ranging from:
It was great seeing students being able to follow their interest and research a topic they were passionate about. We also learnt lots of new things like using Canva to create posters, research skills, public speaking skills and cooperating with partners. We thank all the families for the genuine interest not only in their own child's projects but other children's work as well.
There are quite a few things outstanding on Compass that we require parents to complete. Please make sure you have given permission and paid for:
