Brigidine Campus

This week, the Brigidine Campus is abuzz as students sit their Semester 1 exams. For our Year 10 students, this marks their first opportunity to demonstrate their learning in a formal exam setting. Meanwhile, our Year 11 students, with the experience of last year behind them, have approached the process with confidence and maturity.
We commend all students on the respectful and responsible manner in which they have conducted themselves throughout this period. Beyond assessing academic progress, these exams offer a valuable opportunity for students to reflect on their study habits and resilience - important skills as they look ahead to the demands of Year 12.
Before entering the exam period, we celebrated another spirited event — our Brigidine House Netball Competition. As always, the competition was fierce and filled with great energy. Congratulations to Nicholls House, who claimed victory over Brigid House and now hold the coveted bragging rights. With another House Sporting Competition scheduled for Term 3, we can expect the rivalry to continue — stay tuned to find out which sport is next!
Looking ahead, our Year 10 students will be heading out into the community next week for Work Experience. This important program gives students a real-world glimpse into various professions and helps them explore future career pathways. Following this, students will head to Melbourne for the Year 10 Camp, where they’ll further engage with opportunities beyond our Echuca Moama region — expanding their horizons both personally and professionally.
These coming weeks are also an ideal time to begin discussing 2026 subject selections with your child. Upon returning to school for Semester 2, students will begin the process of considering their learning pathways for the following year. While this may seem early, it is an essential and supported process. Conversations at home play a crucial role, and we thank you for your ongoing involvement and encouragement.
A reminder to all families about the importance of attendance. We appreciate the students who have continued to provide medical certificates or statutory declarations when absent. Maintaining a minimum of 90% attendance is an important expectation, and we’re grateful for your support in reinforcing this. If you need assistance accessing your child’s attendance records or related information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
As we embrace the cooler months, we encourage all students to stay healthy, stay active, and maintain their focus as we approach the end of term.
