Principal's Report

As we move through the final weeks of Term 2, many of our students are currently undertaking their mid-year examinations. This includes our Year 9 students, who are approaching this new experience with a great sense of maturity, preparation and focus. While academic results are one part of the journey, for our Year 9s, these exams are just as much about building confidence and becoming familiar with the process of formal assessments.

In addition to exams, our Year 9 students have several exciting opportunities ahead. In the coming weeks, they will participate in the Amplify Expo, a celebration of student learning and innovation. They will also engage in the Year 10 Taster Program at our Brigidine Campus - a fantastic chance to explore future pathways and subjects as they prepare to transition into the senior years.

This week, I’ve been reflecting on the importance of kindness and respect in our school community. Every interaction, whether it’s with fellow students, teachers, support staff or families, contributes to the tone of our culture. While we welcome open communication and value constructive feedback, it’s important to approach conversations with mutual respect. Aggression or hostility towards staff is never acceptable, and I am grateful that, by and large, our community works together in a supportive and respectful manner. When feedback is shared in a considered and calm way, our College consistently strives to respond thoughtfully and effectively.

Many of our College leaders have recently been involved in performance review processes, which have offered valuable opportunities for reflection and growth. I’m pleased to share that the overall feedback has been very positive. We are also in the process of interviewing for a number of leadership roles for the 2026 academic year.

This is an exciting time, as we look ahead to welcoming new staff and embracing new opportunities that will shape the future direction of the College.

Thank you for your continued support.

God Bless.
