Amplify Expo Night

Year 9 Amplify Exhibition Nights – Showcasing Student Voice, Action and Deep Learning

We are excited to invite our Year 9 families to the upcoming Amplify Exhibition Nights - a highlight of the Year 9 journey and a celebration of student voice, action

and deep thinking.

These nights mark the culmination of Semester 1 in the Amplify Program, an innovative learning model developed in partnership with the University of Melbourne. Grounded in deep learning and the New Metrics framework, the program focuses on equipping students with essential 21st century skills - particularly Agency in Learning.

At its core, Amplify empowers students to take ownership of their learning. They explore personal interests and apply them to real-world issues using a design-thinking process - defining problems, exploring perspectives, developing responses and refining ideas.

This semester, students have explored the theme 'Connecting Communities'. Working individually or in teams, they investigated a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal to identify a local community issue, then designed a folio and project aimed at creating positive change.

The Exhibition Nights give students the opportunity to present their learning journey and showcase their projects. These events are more than a presentation - they celebrate student growth, creativity and purpose.

We look forward to welcoming our Year 9 families to share in this inspiring celebration of empowered, informed learners.
