Update from Support

During Term 2, the Stage 4 Support Unit took an educational trip to the Australian Museum in Sydney to support their Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE) studies. Exploring real artifacts and exhibits allowed students to engage with history in a tangible and meaningful way, helping them to connect classroom content with real-world examples.

The excursion also helped the development of important life skills. Through their participation in both the HSIE excursion and the Community Access program, students learned to use the public transportation network, including trains and buses, with more confidence. They also interacted appropriately with staff and the general public in a safe and supervised environment. This experience not only reinforced their classroom learning but also encouraged greater independence and self-assurance in everyday situations.
