Year 1 Scienceworks Excursion

We took a long bus ride to Science Works, and then, after a break, we visited Tinker Town playground and had a snack before starting our fun at Science Works. Afterwards, we learnt how to make shadows and rainbows out of glass, light and different materials. We had lunch outside on the rainbow stairs, where the seagulls tried to take our food. Then we went in different class groups and explored old-fashioned phones as well as cameras. We made towers, houses and forts out of blocks. Afterwards, we went on the bus back to school, after a packed day full of lots of fun.

Year 6’s Trip to the Hume Library

On Thursday, the Year 6’s travelled on a bus to Hume Library. We explored different genres that we liked the most and had a tour of the library by the Librarian Josie, and she told us about all the holiday programs and what they have to offer on school nights. It was awesome to see how many books there were! Then we used our library cards to borrow as many books as we wanted and the books that interested us the most. Out of all the most popular genres were graphic novels and anime.

We encourage all students to visit the Hume Library and join up.

What a wonderful place we have in Craigieburn.

See you all next week
