Let's THRIVE in 2025

INTER SCHOOL SPORT

On Friday the 20th of June we played an interschool sport AFL9's Footy match against Sacred Heart the scores were 49-14. Because of the shortage of players we managed to bring a couple of hard working year fives. Everyone contributed really well however two players stood out, Raf and Jack.

Thomas C and Sam R, Footy Captains for week 9.

This week, the year 5/6's played Sacred Heart in Soccer for interschool sport. It was a tough match with Sacred Heart scoring early, but we quickly fired back with a goal of our own. We went on to score two more goals and won the game 3-1. Our MVPs of the game were Mia C, Aksel R and Orlando I.

Sophie L and Lachlan G, Soccer Captains for week 9.

On Friday the 20th we were lucky enough to play a MIXED Netball match against Sacred Heart.

This week we were lucky enough to bring along a couple hardworking year fives.

The score for the mixed team was 9-11 with Sacred heart winning however the score didn’t reflect how hard working everyone played.

Everyone contributed and enjoyed the match however there were two players who really stood out, Lakyn and Zoe.

They were our MVPS for this week's mixed netball match.

Chloe O and Cynthia H, Netball Captains for week 9.

Last Friday the OHR Netball girls versed Sacred Heart in a tough game.

It was a very close game with the scores at 7-8 (Sacred Hearts way) and they played extremely well.

They were very kind and welcoming to us as soon as we walked in the gates with warm smiles. There was no arguing, no fighting and lots of fair play. They were honest team players and great competitors.

Our MVP’s for the game Bandgi and Amelia. Bandgi was chosen for her flexibility on and off court and Amelia was chosen for her fierce and strong play.

Everyone played amazingly and  tried  their absolute best, even if they haven’t played netball. Overall It was a tough game but a welcoming school.

Sophie W and Chloe S, netball captains for week 9.

RICHMOND FOOTBALL PLAYERS at OHR

We were so excited to have the Richmond AFL Players at our school. The students asked great questions and listened well to the players. No-one mentioned the ladder!
