NEW BOOKS HAVE ARRIVED!

Summary: Fifteen stories of survival against the odds, focussing on positive outcomes of natural disasters and accidents from recent history.

Summary: Amy is happy it's the last day of school until a huge earthquake hits. She's surprised that it's Mara, her half-sister, who finally comes for her, since they hardly know each other. There's no word from any of their parents, and their homes have been destroyed. So Amy and Mara set out on a perilous journey from their suburb into the city to search for their parents. As they walk day and night, the scope of the horrific destruction becomes clear. Have their parents survived the disaster?

Bush vets tend to our family pets, our production livestock, our native fauna and our exotic animals, and in doing so protect our biosecurity and contribute to better human health. But it’s a job that’s far from easy, with challenges that suggest we need to look at the profession differently. In the new issue of OUTBACK we put bush vets under the microscope in a heart warming and enlightening major feature. Other highlights in this exciting edition include ongoing flood recovery efforts, WA’s iconic Springvale station, the legacy of John and Elizabeth Gould, the NSW touring route via great pubs, Tassie’s awe-inspiring King Island, and our usual favourites of Bush kids, Boots and Dogs!

The current Graziher Magazine issue is Issue 45, which is the June/July issue. The cover star is Carol Mudford, a shearer and AgriFutures award winner, with a focus on the wool industry.

Graziher Magazine, which is a quarterly magazine, features stories of women working, living, and inspiring in regional, rural, and remote Australia. It also has a podcast called "Life on the Land". Graziher Magazine is known for showcasing bold and beautiful stories of rural and regional women.
