Year 10 University & TAFE Tours

Wed  2 July

In Week 11 of Term 2, all Year 10 students will be heading out on University and TAFE tours as part of our career exploration program. The tours aim to give students a first-hand look at tertiary education options as they begin to consider their future pathways.

Students have already submitted their tour preferences, and groups will be finalised by the end of this week. Once confirmed, details of each group’s tour destination will appear on Compass, including the time of departure and return.

Parent/carer consent is essential for students to attend. Please log in to Compass and provide permission as soon as possible so we can finalise transport and supervision arrangements. If you experience any issues with Compass, please contact the school office for support.

This is a compulsory and free excursion, with no cost to families. We believe it is important that every student has the chance to explore a university or TAFE campus, speak with staff and students, and learn more about the wide range of courses and career pathways available after school.

Whether students are planning to pursue further study or are still deciding what their future might look like, this day will help inform their subject selections and inspire their next steps.

We look forward to a fantastic day of learning beyond the classroom!

Year 9 Morrisby Interviews

Over the past week, our Year 9 students have been taking part in their Morrisby interviews, unpacking the results of their recent career profiling assessment with trained practitioners. These one-on-one sessions have been an important opportunity for students to reflect on their strengths, interests and possible career directions.

We’ve been really proud of the way students have engaged with the process – checking their Teams messages, arriving on time for their interviews, and thoughtfully discussing their results. Their maturity and curiosity have made a strong impression on our visiting career practitioners.

We still have another week of interviews scheduled for next week, and any remaining sessions will be completed at the start of Term 3.

All students now have access to their Morrisby results through the online portal, and we strongly encourage families to sit down together and explore the results. This tool can provide valuable insights when it comes to subject selection, and help guide important decisions about future learning and career pathways.

We look forward to seeing how students use this information as they begin planning for Year 10 and beyond!
