It’s been a whirlwind few weeks in the show ring for Linda Jury, FN Collective (New Plymouth) and her beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, Boston, and what a run it’s been! Boston, officially known as NZ Grand Champion Schallenberg Thunderbolt, has added some impressive new titles to his already decorated name, including the prestigious Best in Specialty Show (BISS) and Best in Show (BIS).
At the recent Wellington shows, Boston was absolutely on fire — clearly thriving in the wild weather conditions!
Lee‑Anne Frew, FN surf to City (Riverton) recently enjoyed a fabulous evening at Illuminate at Queens Park in Invercargill, a dazzling new light and sound experience that lit up the city’s beloved green space. The event drew around 20,000 visitors across its 10-night run, far exceeding expectations and prompting plans to return next year.
After two full days of real estate training, Jane Mather, from FN Collective (Tawa) managed to squeeze in a little time to explore the sights of New Plymouth — a well-earned break after all that sitting!
Jennie Hedger, spent the day with Trudy Weston, and Eric Chase, at New Rules of Business: The Power of AI, hosted by Blueprint. The event delivered real insight into what’s already possible with AI and what’s just around the corner.
The day was packed with practical takeaways, real world tools, and eye opening conversations about what AI can do for business, not one day, but right now.
To put the pace of this shift into perspective: it took Facebook 10 months to reach 1 million users. ChatGPT hit that in just 5 days.
We also got a glimpse into what’s next, including the rumoured new device from Jony Ive & Sam Altman, that could one day replace phones altogether. The future is moving fast.
Karla Evans, FN Surf to City (Riverton) is currently soaking up the sights, sunshine, and rich history on an unforgettable overseas adventure! Her travels have included a visit to the awe-inspiring city of Istanbul, where she explored Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, and the incredible underground cisterns.
She’s since travelled through some of the country’s most iconic and historic sites, including an emotional stop at Anzac Cove and the stunning memorial there. Karla crossed the world’s longest suspension bridge on the way to Canakkale, before exploring the ancient ruins of Troy, and then on to Pergamum, where a windy cable car ride led to jaw-dropping views and temples dating as far back as 281 BC.
