Principal Report

Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to the Big Top!
I hope everyone enjoyed the show as much as I did. I have one picture to share that I really hope will not upset anyone, as it is within our school. I sincerely apologise in advance if it does.
Families, thank you for supporting the show and purchasing a ticket. We hope you are as proud of your children, as we are as a team here at school.
The students have worked hard on their routines in their weekly sessions with the two Sam's. Thank you to the students for their participation and bravery. It takes character strength to ake on the challenge of learning a new skill and performing on stage.
Thank you to Ruccis team and to the two Sam's for teaching our children over the last 10 weeks.
If you want to join a circus class, please see their website: Ruccis | Circus School
Thank you to those students that went a bit further and played the following parts with excellence.
Ringo (Alexis R): The determined and somewhat stressed ringmaster who wants to get the circus back on track.
Buddy (Charlie S): A lockdown hermit and circus performer who speaks in Spanish and brings a lot of enthusiasm, albeit with a quirky sense of humour.
Shelley (Ria M): A practical and somewhat no-nonsense circus performer who assists in the auditions and logistics.
Marge/Marjorie (Annabelle G): The wealthy but skeptical investor who threatens to withdraw funding unless the circus proves itself.
Maggie (Maddison W): A circus worker who accidentally turned the circus tent into pyjamas, causing some logistical issues.
Bingo (Atyiri V): A clumsy, overenthusiastic rookie ringmaster hired by Marge to add "flair" to the show.
Thank you to our show openers (Jamison B, Sienna L)
Thank you also to Zara S who had practiced for the part but succumbed to illness the day before.
Thank you to Tyson S for his own acknowledgement of country.
Thank you also to the students that helped usher people to their seats - Abbie M, Blake D, Cameron V, Ella M, Harper S and Toby K.
Thank you to our staff, parent helpers, the venue George Wood, the ticket company ETiks and to Costello Video. Please get your orders in by July 3rd for a USB copy of the filming.
Active Travel School Initiative
The team from Access Health & Community within Yarra Shire Council will be attending
school from 3:00pm on Tuesday 1st July to conduct surveys in person with families about travel to and from school. I hope you are able to share some information that may guide us to make getting to and from school safer, healthier and easier.
You can also complete their survey here:

New canteen tables
We have new tables that have been built by Hayden at HM buildings. Hayden is a local builder who has been involved in all of our bigger school builds. His contact number is 0425863798 if you need a builder. We hope this brings a new community of happy eaters to our canteen area. Thank you to Leigh Marriott who helped stain the tables.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Best wishes,
Craig
