Semester One Reporting & Learning Conversations
As we near the end of Semester One, we take the opportunity to reflect on the learning, growth and achievements of our students so far this year. Semester One Reports will be sent home with your child on Monday. These reports provide families with a personalised and comprehensive summary of each child’s progress across a range of curriculum areas, including English, Mathematics, Religious Education, Inquiry, and the Specialist subjects. They also highlight the effort, behaviour and personal growth your child has demonstrated throughout the semester.
The purpose of the report is not just to assess progress but to open up conversations at home about learning, celebrating areas of strength and discussing goals for further growth. Reading the report together, alongside your child’s learning journal on Seesaw, helps provide a fuller picture of their learning journey, including the work they are proud of and the reflections they’ve shared.
Thank you to the many families who have already booked in for next week’s Three-Way Learning Conversations, happening on Thursday, July 3rd and Friday, July 4th for most classes. These conversations are a key part of our reporting process and a valuable opportunity for your child to share their learning with you in a meaningful way. It is also a chance for parents and carers to connect with the class teacher to ask questions or discuss any part of the report in greater depth.
At St Martin de Porres, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school make a significant difference in student learning. We are incredibly proud of the growth each child has made, whether that’s been through academic progress, developing greater independence, or building resilience and collaboration in the classroom.
We look forward to continuing the journey with you in Semester Two as we work together to support and celebrate your child’s learning and wellbeing.
