Winter Soiree

On a cold Friday after school, families and performers crammed in the school hall to hear the school music groups play.

We began with Band, then Junior Recorder Ensemble, Senior Recorder Ensemble, Violin Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble and finished with Junior Choir, Senior Choir and combined Choir. A lot of musical diversity was on show with Traditional songs played next to Rock classics as well as the four bar internet hit, The Capybarra Song! The school music group conductors did an great job!

Then all the families moved to different venues around the school for small group and solo items.

Our amazing team of music tutors each ran their own concert.

A range of musical ability was on display in each venue. Every year there are beginners playing at their first ever concert and grade 6s playing music they have carefully picked, to entertain their family and friends. Many music students are nervous and excited at the same time. The audience were attentive and enthusiastic.

There is a lot of music going on at Lee Street, long may it continue!

Curriculum Contributions

Dear Parents and Carers,

Every year CNPS purchases stationery and other curriculum consumables on behalf of students, as we can access a good discount for this.  However, unless these items are paid for by families, the school is significantly out of pocket. Thank you to the families who have paid the curriculum contribution to date.  We understand that not all families are able to pay, and this charge is voluntary, however if you are able to make payment, we would really appreciate it.

The cost for each year level is:

Foundation         $229.50

Year 1/2               $181.10

Year 3/4               $174.95

Year 5/6               $156.70

Payment can be made via Compass under Course Confirmations, over the phone or at the office.

Thank you for your understanding.
