Foundation

Welcome back to Term 3!
It has already been such a busy start to the term, and the Foundation students are powering through it like the superstars they are.
Literacy
In Literacy we have begun writing in our 'sky, grass, ground' books. It has been a little tricky, but students have been so resilient with learning something new.
We are also beginning to look at non-fiction books around Australian animals (which ties into our Inquiry unit), as well as consolidating our decoding and comprehension skills.
Numeracy
In Numeracy we have been learning to skip count by 10s, which has worked well with our 100 days of school, and we have also been learning about addition. Students are making connections to our previous learning of part-part-whole and are enjoying learning new ways to combine numbers together.
Production
In the first week of term we had our whole school production 'What A Knight'. This was the first ever production for our Foundation students and we can already tell they will be superstars for all the productions to come.
Our students worked incredibly hard to perfect their songs and we just know all parents/special people were so proud of them. So, congratulations to our Foundation students for completing such a big event in their first year of school!
100 Days of School
Last Tuesday we had our 100 days of school! Students got to dress up as 100-year-olds and completed so many fun activities related to the number 100.
This is such an incredible milestone for all students, and we couldn't be prouder of how far they have come and how much they have achieved in these 100 days.
