Level 4

WHAT A KNIGHT!
What a fabulous two nights of excitement. The level 4's absolutely smashed their performance
Reading
This week in reading we have been setting up literacy circles (or Book Clubs!) and using context clue strategies such as inferring and dictionary definitions to understand unfamiliar words. Students have been analysing their book on a deeper level through summarising and making connections.
Writing
Students have been learning about the structure of information reports. They have explored the structure of paragraphing and sentence structure. Students looked at simple, compound and complex sentences and how adjectives or descriptive phrases make facts more vivid.
They have also been working on their Adventure stories to prepare for our Book Week competition!
Maths
Students have been analysing and gathering data. They have used this information to create visual displays such as line graphs, bar graphs, and two-way tables, both digitally and manually.
Inquiry
Students are exploring life cycles, biodiversity and food webs while they research endangered animals. They have looked at statistics and trends of their endangered animals and questioned why this has happened.
