Acknowledgement of Country Plaque unveiling

Kurunjang Secondary College held a morning tea where we unveiled an Acknowledgement of Country Plaque which was commissioned to Aboriginal Artist Lacey Yeomans and will proudly be displayed in the College foyer.

Lacey Yeomans had previously worked with Kurunjang Secondary College students as part of The Long Walk’s Koori Art Program delivered by Jenaya Sierra.

The program was very successful in engaging students in a safe space where they could relax, work on their individual art works, have a yarn and grab some lunch. The event was attended by Councillor Lara Carli and Local Parliament Member Steve McGhie, amongst other Department Koori Engagement personal.

The college wishes to thank all special guests who attended as well as staff, students and their families.
