STEM

Welcome to another fun and exciting term of STEM - building our future scientists and engineers through engaging minds and hands in a range of activities and topics!

This term sees the 1/2s participating in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program and for the first half of the term, the gardening aspect of this will be taking place during their stem lesson. We have already learnt how to identify seeds on a plant, discovered photosynthesis and why it is important and planted some seeds ready for planting in school garden later this term.

In the past couple of weeks the rest of the school has looked at reflection and refraction of light and we have started learning about at our solar system including the planets and how the earth's movement around the sun.

I am looking forward to a great term of STEM this term and can't wait to see the brilliant things we will discover together!
