IPSHA Cross Country Carnival
The IPSHA Cross Country Carnival held at The King's School was another fantastic sporting occasion for Kambala. Our girls competed with fierce determination and produced outstanding results. The team camaraderie was such a great sight to see. When the girls weren't racing they were cheering each other on and providing great support after competing in what was a very challenging course.
Congratulations to the following girls for being selected in the IPSHA team to compete at the NSWCIS Cross Country Championships to be held on Thursday 6 June at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre:
Olivia Boulton, Sara Pan, Erykah Skimin, Zara Boulton and Alexia Coburn
Well done once again to all runners on a great day.
NSW PSSA Swimming Championships
On 11 April two Kambala students, Annabel Hunt (Yr 6) and Mia Li (Yr 2), competed in the NSW PSSA swimming championships at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Both Annabel and Mia swam superbly and were able to make the final of their respective events. Mia Li finished 9th overall in the 8 years 50m Freestyle and Annabel Hunt finished 7th overall in the 12 years 50m Breaststroke.
Congratulations to both students on a fantastic achievement and for representing Kambala with such fierce competitive spirit.
IGSA Water Polo teams make a splash!
Kambala 2 and Kambala 3 IGSA Water Polo teams made a splash on 6 April as they became victorious in their final match of the season. The teams’ hard work, dedication and skill were on full display as they overcame fierce competition to claim the win in their final’s match.
From the opening swim off to the final buzzer, Kambala dominated the pool, showcasing their teamwork and strategy. Led by coaches Bryan, Berni and Olivia, both teams executed their game plans excellently.
Well done to both teams on an outstanding season of water polo. A big thank you to all of the coaches, particularly Head Coach Coco Welsh who has assisted the teams each week and supported them throughout the season.

A Gala to Remember
On 6 April, the sun was shining and spirits were high as netball enthusiasts from Kambala and KRB gathered for a day of friendly competition and camaraderie at our inaugural Netball gala day.
It was a great way for our teams to play some competition style matches before we begin our season in Term 2.
The day kicked off with our Year 7 and 8 teams and finished with a showcase match between our Senior A team and KRB Senior A team.
A great afternoon was had by all and we are very excited to begin the season now. A big thank you to the girls who came along and umpired, you did a fabulous job!

Netball Holiday Training
In the school holidays we held a training session for all Year 7-9 netball players. We had 60 girls attend which was amazing!
The girls participated in a variety of netball drills and played some round robin style netball matches at the end of the 2 hours. It was so great to have the 3 year groups all playing together and getting to know each other. I have a great feeling about this netball season and can’t wait to see what our girls can achieve.
