Boarding

Welcome to Term 2
What happened during the holidays?
“During the Autumn holiday, I went back home to Bangkok, Thailand. I visited my old school and enjoyed seeing my old friends and teachers there. I had so much fun spending time with my family and getting to be home. I also went to Singapore for a three-day holiday. We went ziplining, shopping, and mostly relaxed.“ Eve Y9
“During the holidays I was able to take one of the day girls Scarlett Shadbolt back home to Hong Kong which was definitely an experience for her. I was very happy to be able to show my good friend what my home looked like. My favourite part was showing her all the cool local places that are tourist free. We went paddle boarding at Stanley Beach & we spent a lot of time hanging out with my family. It was nice that I could share my family with her as her family always so graciously welcome me into their home in Sydney.” Jackie Y10
“My favourite part of the holidays was the first weekend when I had a few friends home for the local Bullarama.
I was also doing things with Dad on and around the farm like mustering sheep and cattle, fencing or marking calves. We also got a new puppy, a Border Collie called Mack. It is only about 9 weeks old. And I was catching up on some sleep. Overall I had a good holiday, busy but fun.” Hilary Y11
Year 7 Camp
The Year 7s returned from their first school camp on Friday and were very excited to share their experiences.
The camp was all about building friendships, confidence and courage in many different challenges throughout the week.
Some highlights they mentioned were Abseiling, “Leap of faith” which was a challenge where the students had to climb up really high with a harness on and jump out to try and hit a target before being slowly lowered to the ground.
The girls also mentioned that the tents were an interesting sleeping arrangement but it was very cold at night so they are definitely glad to be back in the boarding house in their cosy warm beds.
