Care@Clayfield Parent Event

There is only a few days to go until we welcome Dr Justin Coulson for our second Care@Clayfield parent event for 2024. 

 

This session will explain what anxiety looks like and provide simple strategies for parents and caregivers for helping children overcome worry, fear and panic that are empirically and clinically proven. 

 

This is a complimentary community event. The content will be suitable for parents and caregivers with children in Primary and Secondary School.

About Dr Justin Coulson 

 

Justin is the co-host and parenting expert on Channel 9's Parental Guidance, the founder of happyfamilies.com.au, and one of Australia’s most trusted parenting experts. He holds a PhD in Positive Psychology.

 

Over the past decade he has helped innumerable families with his 9 books about raising children, his hundreds of media appearances (including all of Australia’s major news outlets, and even the Washington Post and the New York Times), and two viral videos that have been viewed a combined 80 million times! 

 

Justin and his wife Kylie have been married since the late 1990s and are the parents of 6 daughters.

Opus 1 and 2 Concerts

 

 

Our P&F Friends of Music are looking for volunteers for each concert to help at the bar, BBQ, entry and raffles. Please register to assist on the night at the links provided below. Thank you for your support! 

 

 

Ladies Lunch

The Clayfield College Ladies Lunch is a much-loved event that brings together members of our extended Clayfield family – current, future and past parents, Old Collegians, donors, corporate supporters and friends. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ladies Lunch was an annual, sold-out event, so understandably, there is much anticipation and excitement throughout the community for its return in 2024! 

 

THE DETAILS 

 

Date: Friday 10 May 2024 

 

Location: The Tote Room, Brisbane Racing Club, Lancaster Road, Ascot  

 

Time: 11:30am to 2:30pm 

 

Cost: $125.00 per head 

 

Guests will enjoy Moët and roving canapés on arrival, and a two-course sit-down lunch with entertainment and student performances. Cash/EFTPOS bar available. 

 

RSVP: Thursday 2 May 2024. At the time of booking, please provide your dietary requirements and nominate some friends you would like to sit with!

P&F Primary Disco

Hosted by the Friends of Primary  

 

Who can attend the disco? 

 

This event is open to: 

  • Clayfield College Primary students (Pre-Prep to Year 6) 
  • siblings of current Clayfield College Primary students.  

Registration is essential! Get in quickly. 

 

Parents/caregivers are welcome to stay and enjoy the P&F Association Bar and BBQ! 

 

Conditions 

  • Parents/caregivers must pre-register their children, so that adequate levels of supervision can be arranged. 
  • Parents/caregivers must sign-in their children from 5:00pm (Assembly Hall), and sign-out their children (Assembly Hall) by no later than 6:30pm (Pre-Prep and Prep), 6:45pm (Years 1 to 3) and 7:00pm (Years 4 to 6).
  • Parents/caregivers of students in Pre-Prep and Prep must remain on-site throughout the event.

Countdown to Commencement Program

 

We look forward to hosting our 2025 CLAYFIELD SEVENS at the Clayfield Experience Day on Friday 31 May 2024, with a full day of fun and interactive Secondary School experiences planned. We kindly ask that our current Year 6 students us the below link to confirm their attendance by next Monday 22 April 2024. Please do not hesitate to contact our Enrolments Team, if you child will not be participating in the Countdown to Commencement Program.
