Big Build Roads are upgrading Clyde Road

Clyde Road in Berwick will have improved traffic flow, and will make your journey safer and more reliable. 

As per Victoria's Big Build Roads page: 

"The Australian Government has committed to upgrade Clyde Road between Enterprise Avenue and the Princes Freeway, adding an additional lane in each direction, and upgrading the intersections at Clyde Road and Kangan Drive, and Clyde Road and the Princes Freeway."

Disruptions include:

• 7 May - 31 May 2024
  Sir Gustav Nossal Boulevard
  Lane Closure, Berwick
  The left turn slip lane from Sir Gustav Nossal Boulevard onto Clyde Road heading north will be closed until late May.
   
• Late March until June
  Clyde Road
  Lane Closure, Berwick
  Day and overnight lane closures in both directions on Clyde Road between Enterprise Avenue and Bemersyde Drive at times until June.

Further upgrades

Upgrades will also include daily slow lane closure (9am set up with closure from 9.30am to 3.30pm each day) just north and south of the Clyde Road/Kangan Drive intersection from Thursday 9 May 2024 until the end of May to undertake some Telstra works.  See mark up below. 

This timing has been chosen to minimise morning peak time disruption as much as possible. 

During this time the left turn slip lane northbound from Sir Gustav Nossal Blvd into Clyde Road will remain closed, with the left turn to be made via the through lane. This area will also reopen at the end of May. 

As there is currently, they’ll be signed pedestrian detours in place for students.
