Japan And Germany Exchange Trip

Japan and Germany Exchange

Over the last two weeks of Term 1, 20 students visited Viewbank College from Japan and 13 students visited from Germany. This is the first time we’ve had international students from our sister schools visit since 2018 and it was an amazing experience for all.

Across the time that the students were at the College, they participated in cooking and sports classes, followed their host family student to their usual classes and explored Melbourne as well. They also visited a variety of language classes and connected with many of the students at Viewbank College. It was a defining moment for many students to see their language studies come to life and many of our Viewbank College students now have lifelong friends.

All of this was possible due to the wonderful host families who raised their hand to invite a young person into their home and every Viewbank College student who hosted, stepped up to the challenge and were amazing ambassadors for not only our College, but for Australia as well.

Later this year, we will be having students from the College go to visit our sister schools, and it will surely become a defining high school moment for every student who is able to participate.
