COMMUNITY SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS

Congratulations to Isaac A (5BC) who just achieved his Grey Wolf, the highest badge possible for Cub Scouts. This generally takes a cub about 3 years to achieve and involves the following:

  • Achieve their milestones 1, 2 & 3.
  • Achieve Stage 3 in all three Core Areas of Bushcraft, Bushwalking and Camping.
  • Achieve six Special Interest Projects in at least two areas. Each project is a minimum four-hour duration.
  • Plan and lead an Adventurous Journey of at least four hours duration.

Well done Isaac 💪🏼!

If your child achieves something special (grand final win, most valuable player award, best and fairest etc.), please email me (jordan.daley@education.vic.gov.au) through photos and an overview of the achievement to post in Contact. It is important to celebrate and recognise such successes with the school community.

Camps Sport Excursion Fund (CSEF)

School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors. Excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works while sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership.  All are a part of a healthy curriculum.  CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

The annual CSEF amount per primary school student is $150.

If you received CSEF in 2023 you do not need to apply again, however if you are new to Greenhills and have a valid concession card or have an additional child (eg Prep) that commenced, please complete the attached form (available from the office too) and hand into the office with a copy of your concession card. Any queries please don’t hesitate to contact the office.  Here is the link to complete the form :
