GYC Uniform 2025

As of Term One, 2025, all students enrolled at Guilford Young College (GYC) will be required to wear the formal GYC uniform (blazer optional). 

This decision has come after a lengthy period of discussion and discernment and with a desire to return to the previous GYC tradition in relation to the College uniform and to move away from the default position of students wearing the sport uniform exclusively.  This means that the Sport uniform is only required or worn on the day of a timetabled Health and Physical Education course or where there is a specific course requirement.

The exceptions are:

• On the days they have a sport subject, students may wear their sport uniform to and from school.
• If students play sport for the College, after school, they may wear their sport uniform to and from school.

Families of students commencing at GYC is 2025 will be notified of these changes from GYC directly. For more information on the uniform, visit:

Legally Blonde - The Musical

GYC is excited to present the fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde.

The Musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances - this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal!

Featuring many Mount Carmel Alumni, The Musical will be performed at the Don Bosco Creative Arts Centre on the Glenorchy Campus from 7-10 August.
