Students have been exploring friendship facts from the UR STRONG program. They have been learning about friendship fact number two: 'Every friendship is different'. Students discussed that friendships are like flowers, it is important to have many friendships and nurture those friendships so over time they can grow.

Here are some of the students’ ideas about friendships:

“We need to respect our friends to have fun.” Sekinah, Year 2

“When we respect our friendships so we can let our friendships grow.” Seyah, Year 2

Inquiry

Students are learning about earth’s resources. They have been exploring the different natural resources at ARPS, such as the animals, plants, water and soil. Over the course of the term, students will explore how we can look after these resources and come up with a design solution.

Students identified how they can help protect earth’s resources. Some suggestions were:

“Don’t put rubbish on the floor and ocean.” Alex Y, Year 2

“We can help pick up rubbish and make sure we don’t leave rubbish on the beach.” Micheal T, Year 2.
