Working Bee

We will be receiving the key to the new building on Friday August the 9th, 4 weeks ahead of schedule!!  The next stage is to move the furniture from the grade 3, 4, 5 & 6 classrooms into the new building.

To facilitate this, we will be holding a working bee on Saturday 10th August from 9am – 1.00pm and would appreciate any help that you can offer with the moving of furniture. We will start the morning with a tour of the building and morning tea will be provided.

Can I please ask that if you are able to help out that no children accompany parents as there will be a lot of heavy lifting and moving of furniture. Please RSVP via the link below so we can have an indication of who will helping.

Mini Olympics - Parents welcome to attend!

We are excited to announce that on Friday, 9th August, our students will be participating in a Mini House Olympic competition! This fun-filled day will be an excellent opportunity for students to show their school spirit and teamwork in Olympic-style events.

On this day, students are encouraged to wear their house colours and try their best in every event to earn points for their house. The Mini Olympic competition will run across three different sessions, with various year levels participating throughout the day.

Session Schedule:

  • Session 1: Grade 5/6 students will participate with their Foundation buddies from 9:00 am to 10:40 am (until recess).
  • Session 2: Grade 1 and 2 students will compete from 11:10 am to 12:50 pm.
  • Session 3: Grade 3 and 4 students will join the fun from 1:50 pm to 3:25 pm.

Our dedicated House and Vice House Captains will be running this event for all year levels, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Sport

It was great to see that our school got 5 out of 6 sports into the Moorabbin District Semi Finals. Mixed Netball and both Hockey sides unfortunately lost their semi finals.

Three teams managed to make it to the Grand finals.

They were Girls and Mixed Basketball and Mixed AFL Nines.

The Girls Basketball came from 16 points down to lose by just 2 points and the boys from 7 down to lose by only 3 points.

The AFL lost by only 13 points against a super strong team.

It was great to see such great efforts and fantastic sportsmanship on display despite the narrow losses. We should all be very proud of them.

The Mixed Teeball team didn't make the Grand final due to many illnesses but they did finish on top of the ladder. This meant that they got to go to the Kingston Division finals where they performed very well coming fifth.

Below are some happy snaps taken by Kate Mallet. Thanks Kate.
