College Policy Updates
At Hoppers Crossing Secondary College, we are guided by a set of local policies endorsed by School Council, and a set of policies endorsed by the Department of Education.
Any new policies endorsed by School Council will be published within each edition of Newsline, so you can be aware of them, and also provide feedback.

At the March Council meeting, the following Policies were endorsed:
Photographing/filming/recording students policy
This policy is largely the same as the previous policy except regarding needing annual
permission forms to be signed by Parent/Carers. This policy will allow Parent/Carers to grant or deny permission for the entire duration of a student’s enrolment. Parent/Carers of course, can change their choices at any time. This will cut down on the re-enrolment packs we send out each year. This is a change across all Government Schools over 2024-25. There will be a compass posting later in the year regarding this policy, and how to sign off on the ongoing permission.
