Year 5 & 6 Smoothie Mini-Boss Incursion 

In Grades 5 & 6 we are learning all about Business and Economics this term. 

To immerse our students wholeheartedly in the unit, we began with an introduction on how to create a successful business. 

During the immersion, students embarked on a quest to create a delicious smoothie product and a successful marketing campaign that promoted health and wellness in their school community.

Working in teams, students discovered what it takes to become a business owner. They investigated the preferences of their target market, designed a brand and learned about cost and profit before trialling their delicious and nutritious blends. Once all students decided on the ultimate smoothie recipe, they used their digital literacy and design skills to create marketing materials to promote their product and brand, which they later presented in creative pitches to the Mini Boss judges. 

We are so excited to have so many budding entrepreneurs in our midst!
