Number & Algebra   I   Measurement & Geometry   I   Statistics & Probability

Number and Algebra - This term’s Mathematics will focus on developing skills and understandings with number and place value that we can apply to fractional thinking. We will be interpreting and understanding a wide variety of whole numbers, decimal numbers, fractions, percentages and positive and negative integers.

Measurement and Geometry - This term will be developing our skills with tessellations, symmetry, location, as well as measuring area and perimeter.

Statistics and Probability - Through the essential question 'How can our actions make a difference to a sustainable future?', we will collect and collate data from our inquiry unit in frequency tables, analyse the data, and present it using a variety of appropriate graphs. We will also be investigating chance experiments with equally likely outcomes and assigning probabilities as a number from 0 to 1.
